Coastal Explorations is a small, adventure-oriented touring company in Corolla, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Situated between the Atlantic Ocean and the Currituck Sound, we strive to base our activities on our aquatic and beach surroundings. We are part of a network of businesses with North Beach Watersports and the Inn at Corolla Light here on the Northern Outer Banks.

We offer Corolla Wild Horse Tours, Tikki Boat Sunset Cruises and Eco-Tours as well as Kayak tours.

What makes us different from all other family activities companies in Corolla?

We feel that it is our relationship with our explorers. Each of our guides is chosen based on their friendly, outgoing personalities, their love of the outdoors, & their knowledge and skill. Our group sizes are kept small so that you have a more personal experience while on the water. Coastal Explorations is the vision and business of an Outer Banks native – it’s a little bit like getting a “backstage pass” while on vacation. We make sure that you get an authentic feel for the waters and culture that are so unique to our area.

Owned by Surfmen

Coastal Explorations is owned by a veteran of the US Coast Guard. Being a “surfman” meant that you were one of 120 members of the 40,000 + service members who were elite boat operators for the most dangerous conditions.

We are loyal to our area and love to share it. See you on the water or the coast!
