Hadley is an Outer Banks native, growing up in Duck and now living in Historic Corolla Village. She loves being outside, on or in the water, and and walking barefoot around the neighborhood with her trusty sidekick, Junebug. She started Coastal Explorations in 2008 and has been sharing her love of the sound with customers ever since.
Originally from Virginia, Nate is a transplant to the Outer Banks. He loves the outdoors and adventures of all kinds, especially traveling and surfing. He's a huge hispanophile, so if you hear reggaeton thumping around the shop you'll know who to blame.
Guiding for her second year at Coastal Ex, Hannah hails from northwestern PA where she grew up kayaking & exploring the outdoors with her family. She went to school for art & photography and has been working to build her own photography business. She loves traveling the world, plans to become a yoga teacher, loves doing SUP yoga, and wants to adopt every dog - all of them. But she can't have Junebug.
Jesse is a North Carolina native entering his senior year at North Carolina State University studying plant biology and ecology. In his free time he likes to read and spends his time outside climbing, camping, paddling, and biking. In his first season guiding for Coastal Explorations he’s looking forward to sharing his new knowledge and love of the outdoors with new paddlers!
Nick grew up in Cary, NC and graduated from Western North Carolina University with a degree in Parks and Recreation Management. He’s our very own Ron Swanson (he’s even working on his mustache)! Sharing Ron’s love of the outdoors, Nick loves to snowboard in the winter season, most recently enjoying the runs of Park City, Utah. In the summer he swaps the snow for the ocean and spends his time shredding the gnargnar (waves) every chance he gets.
