These tours take place throughout the day. This is a great tour for beginners or for people who just want to get on the water without disturbing their vacation sleep-ins! Our guides will wind you around islands and our marshy mazes while filling you in on wildlife spottings and local history, while answering your questions. It's a great way to be on the water, have fun, and explore a hidden gem of the Outer Banks!
Sunset kayak tour

Twilight on the Currituck Sound is a breath-taking experience. Paddling the waters as the sun sinks toward the horizon and then watching as the colors of the sky, clouds, sun, and waters change in brilliant hues - this is an experience that you won't soon forget. Our most popular tour, paddlers come back year after year to experience this remarkable moment on the water.
Kid kayak tour
$70 per double kayak
1 adult and 1 child for 1 hour
These tours are family friendly but tailored for kids with an emphasis on fun, hands-on learning. We give kids dip nets to allow them to sweep through grass beds in search of small water critters like shrimp and minnows. These tours are shorter in both time and distance than our traditional tours. We'll get you and your kids into double kayaks and take time to paddle and play as we make stops along the shoreline and small islands. This tour is generally recommended for kids aged 4 to 10 years old.
Sunrise kayak tour

We know it's early but there really is nothing like slipping into the water while it's still dark and paddling the quiet waters as daylight breaks and the day begins. Even our paddlers who are not morning people have a wide, peaceful smile after the trip and are happy to have risen out of the bed early that morning. As well as getting to see the sunrise, this tour offers one of the best chances for wildlife viewing. Plus, in the summertime, it's a great way to beat the heat of the day!
Twilight kayak tour

Looking for a twist on a traditional trip? This twilight tour could be just what you're looking for. Paddle around under the light of the stars or moon, trusting your guide to lead you out of the twists and turns of the marshy mazes. With the Currituck Beach Lighthouse as your beacon and nightlight, you'll feel safe as you stargaze.
Full Moon Tour

Looking for a tour to gaze at the full moon? Come check out this amazing and beautiful experience with us on the water. See the gorgeous moon shining brightly over our Currituck Sound and enjoy its calm and peaceful environment. Gaze at the beautiful lighthouse all lit up at night as it helps you light your way through the marsh. There is nothing better! We only run these tours two to three times a month. We can’t wait for you to experience this with us!
Monkey island kayak tour

Monkey Island is one of the most isolated and storied locations on the Outer Banks! Join us on a paddle as we explore the waters around the island. Once out there, you'll have the chance to hear some local history about the island and also to view the thousands of roosting wading birds and ospreys that call the island their home in the summer. We'll take a few breaks on the trip and take some time for some snacks and water. This trip is for experienced paddlers only and reservations are required.
